Prepare for Year-Round Competition

It may sound ridiculous, but worksheets and reading materials done over the summer and in between local and national competition give willing students an edge over those who compete but forget what they have learned months ago. Doing this may be hard, but it beats losing all that precious information stored in their heads. Also, workshops are a good way to get a head start on the next tournament year.
