Here's a #35-44 Presidents clue from Nationals 2015.

An explosion on a PT boat changed me from a carefree young man to one who was much more serious and interested in serving his fellow man. Less than six months after World War II, I became one of ten candidates running in the Democratic primary in my Congressional District. I won the election and eventually served in the U.S. Senate as well.
