Let Players Teach You

Every one of the academic games is open-ended in the sense that no one can master every fact or strategy. So even the most experienced coach must not pose as the “know-it-all.” Instead, encourage players to come up with a new strategy in a cube game or a new fact in Presidents or World Events or a new slant on a technique in Propaganda. It is an exciting moment in a coach’s career when a player teaches the coach something he or she didn’t know.
