Now that Nationals is over, it’s a good time to have students reflect on what they’ve learned and how far they’ve come in their learning this year. Sometimes, students are disappointed because they didn’t achieve all of their goals or win a national championship. Often, though, those same students have made huge strides in their personal development or have become much better players than they were at the beginning of the year. Recognizing this progression helps them realize that winning isn’t always important—improving and progressing are also keys to their growth.
