Setting Equations Goals in "Non-Ideal" Situations

A good Equations exercise is to have players set Goals without their "ideal" situations. Most students have plenty of good goals to set if they have roots, exponents, or certain variations in play. With only addition, subtraction, multiplication and division signs, players should still be able to set a goal that isn’t 5+3 or 6×2. Likewise, each player should know a few good goals with only sideways or upside-down in force.
