What can the Academic Games moderator do with students who are over-involved?
First, you must decide how strict you will be concerning attendance at Academic Games practices.
- If you are too strict, then you may lose most of your team as they may select other activities that tolerate missing practices or meetings.
- A student who is juggling too many activities may be able to compromise, attending Academic Games part of the time and the conflicting activity the rest of the time. Are you willing to tolerate this?
- You may install different requirements for newcomers as opposed to veterans. Since practice time is never adequate to prepare fully for the next competition, you may insist that rookies attend all the practices with rare exceptions.
