Mike Kryzyzewski has been a highly successful basketball coach at Duke University. Like any coach of winning teams in any sport or competition, he uses techniques that apply to any endeavor, including academic games. Here is an excerpt from an article about him in Play magazine (February 2006).
“… people no longer just do what they’re told. Not in a workplace, in a family, or on a basketball team. Father might still know best, but now he has to explain himself. He has to clearly state goals and invest everyone in reaching them.”
