#35-44 During my first two years in office, I signed into law economic stimulus legislation in response to a severe recession. Another piece of legislation was the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. I signed the New START arms control treaty with Russia and ordered U.S. military involvement in Libya in opposition to Muammar Gaddafi.
